“Life’s battles don’t go to the strongest man, but the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.”
This is a phrase I have always herd my parents tell me as a child. I grew up with this faith and belief that if I work hard and give my best shot, I could achieve my dreams. To my luck this belief has worked really well in my life. But that does not mean I have not lost anything or have not had any disappointments. I have had my fair share of ups and down in my life. But its this strong belief hat has always kept me going and something that I would want to pass to my son as well.
In this fast-moving life, living in nuclear families, sometimes inculcating and learning a culture which is different from your yours; we forget to learn the importance of the word “BALANCE”. As individuals we find it difficult to manage relationships, the household as well as focus and compete in the workplace. Have we ever wondered why?
The reason is that we are trying to win every battle of our life. Instead of realising that we cannot be the best in everything, we feel the need to prove ourselves every time. What’s important is we realise the meaning of the word “BALANCE” and incorporate it in the true sense in our lives. Just like one chocolate a day will not spoil your teeth, but if you eat a box you may need to see the dentist soon.
We need to find the equation of managing the right balance of our work, our relationships, our family and friends and finally having one’s own “ME” time. The ability to manage time is the key. That would help you prioritize your tasks and win not only the battles but the war as a whole.
The ups and downs of our life is to help us prepare and become strong. You must believe in your self and the skills you have. Self-belief, hard work and determination are the three keys to achieve success in life.
